The main aim of the Office is to offer qualified attention to the families of missing people. It is the information channel for families regarding developments in investigations. It also counsels them and leads them to other specialised services.
- Basic recommendation: it is necessary to report a disappearance immediately. One mustn’t wait 24 hours to do so. The report can be presented at any Mossos d'Esquadra police station (open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year) or at those of Catalonia’s local police forces. A personal identity document is necessary (DNI, passport, NIE or driving licence).
The Office for Attention to Families of Missing Persons offers individualised monitoring of each case, whether via email, at the firstname.lastname@example.org, or by telephone, on 937 137 137, from Monday to Friday, from 9.00 to 14.00.
